Question
could you translate this in ancient latin
"Legion for we are many" Or  just "For we are many"
thankyou

Answer
Hello,

“Quia multi sumus” is the Latin translation of “For we are many”.

As for “Legion, for we are many”, it translates as “Legio nomen mihi est, quia multi sumus”, as we read in Mark 5:9 where Jesus meets a man with an unclean spirit who says that his name is Legion (Latin, LEGIO) to denote that men  with an unclean spirit were so many as the soldiers of a legion.

The Roman legion in fact consisted of 10 cohorts of foot-soldiers and 300 cavalry, making together between 4200 and 6000 men.

Best regards,
Maria
