Question
Hello Maria

I would be very grateful if you could tell me the correct translation for "partner" or "companion" in a romantic sense. I would like to name a star and would like it to read my fiance's name and then "celestial companion" in latin. I believe celestial is caelestis.

Thank you so much
Warm Regards
Sarah

Answer
Hello,

“celestial companion/partner” in the sense you are looking for can  be translated only as  “caelestis comes” where COMES can mean just "partner" or "companion" in a romantic sense.

Best regards,
Maria
______________________________________
CAELESTIS (nominative masculine agreed with COMES) = celestial
COMES ((nominative, 3rd.declension)= companion/ partner
