Question
hi there,
im working on an art project and i was wondering if you would be
able to translate these two phrases from english to latin :)
(1)-"Revelation cuts like a knife and breaks on through"
(2)-"As long as i breathe im hoping"
thankyou

Answer
Hello,

“As long as I breathe I am hoping” translates as follows: “Dum spiro spero”.

Such a Latin sentence, generally attributed to Cicero, has been adopted as a motto of various places and families.

With regard to "Revelation cuts like a knife and breaks on through", I do not want to translate it simply because such a phrase would sound absolutely strange in Latin.

Bye,
Maria
