Question
What is the Latin equivalent of the phrase: "a slave to truth."
The Latin might be a slave OF truth, the use of "to" might be idiomatic or even improper English grammar. [I took Latin and Greek in high school in the 60s, but it's of little use any more. No, I don't do tatoos.]

Answer
Hello,

the Latin equivalent of the phrase: "a slave to truth” , i.e. “a slave OF truth” is the following:

-“Veritatis servus” or “Servus veritatis” with a different word order which can be variable simply because in Latin syntactical relationships are indicated by the endings, not by the order of the words, as you probably remember.

Best regards,
Maria
