Question
What is the correct translation of "first daughter", meaning first born daughter?  Prima filia?  Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hello,

The correct translation of "first daughter", meaning ‘first born daughter’ is “Prima filia”, as you say, if she is the first of many children.
Otherwise you must say “Prior filia”, if the daughters are only two.
Anyway it would be appropriate to know the context of “first daughter”.

Best regards,
Maria

Note that PRIMA (nominative feminine of PRIMUS agreed with FILIA) is a superlative in Latin, while PRIOR is a comparative.
