Question
what is the translation of "All is as God wills it"
I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Miguel

Answer
Hello,

The literal translation of “All is as God wills it “ is the following:

-“Omnia sunt sicut Deus vult”.

Anyway the best translation would be “Omnia, Deo volente, accidunt” (literally, “God willing, all happens”).

Regards,
Maria

Note that:

-All = OMNIA (nominative neuter plural of OMNIS )

-is = SUNT ( 3rd.person plural of SUM, agreed with OMNIA)

-as = SICUT

-God = DEUS (nominative)

-wills it = VULT (from VOLO, I will)
________________________________________________________
As for “Omnia, Deo volente, accidunt”, note that:

-OMNIA = all

-DEO VOLENTE (ablative absolute) = God willing

-ACCIDUNT (3rd.person plural of ACCIDERE, to happen) = happen
