Question
Hey i was wondering what teh latin translation of "

"Time is what you make of it" as well as "Friendship is Kinship",
the first is for a piece of leather work i am doing for a friend as  a gift, the second is for me for an SCA character. Thanks I appreciate it.

Answer
Hello,

Here are the translations you asked me:

-“Ut id consumis, ita est tempus”( "Time is what you make of it")

-“Amicitia est consanguinitas”(Friendship is Kinship),  if “kinship” means “blood-relationship, consanguinity”.
-“Amicitia est affinitas” (Friendship is Kinship),if “kinship” means “relationship by nature or character; affinity”.

See below for grammatical analysis.

Best regards,
Maria
