Question
Hi,
This is for an artwork (painting) I am painting in my mother's memory. The phrase is the beginning of a childhood poem, I used to tell my mom.
"I had a dream of flowers"
Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hello,

“Flores somniavi” is the translation of "I had a dream of flowers".

Note that FLORES (direct object, accusative plural of FLOS, flower) means “of flowers”, while SOMNIAVI (past tense of the verb SOMNIO, I have a dream) means “I had a dream”.

As you can see, Latin word order can be different from English.

Best regards,
Maria
