Question
Would you be able to translate the phrase "I follow in your footsteps" into Latin?

Answer
Hello,

“Te vestigiis persequor” as well as “Tua persequor  vestigia” are  the correct translations for “I follow in your footsteps”.

See below for grammatical analysis.

Best regards,
Maria

Note that:

-I follow = PERSEQUOR (deponent verb)

-in your footsteps  = TE VESTIGIIS (where TE corresponds to “your” and VESTIGIIS in the ablative plural of the noun VESTIGIUM corresponds to “in footsteps”) or TUA VESTIGIA (where TUA –neuter plural-= “your” and VESTIGIA –accusative plural of VESTIGIUM = “footsteps”.)

As you can see, Latin word order can be different from English.
