Question
"Docendo discimus" translates to "We learn by teaching." How does one write, "We learn by writing?"

Many thanks!

Ex animo,

George

Answer
Hello,

If you want to imitate "Docendo discimus", you must say:

“Scribendo discimus”.
[“We learn by writing"]

Note that:

-SCRIBENDO (ablative of means, gerund of SCRIBO, I write) means “ by writing”.

-DISCIMUS (1st.person plural, present indicative of DISCO, I learn) means “we learn”.

Bene vale!
