Question
Hi! I was just wondering if you could please translate this for me.

"Luceo Non Uro"

Thank you very much, and take care.

Answer
Hi!

Here’s the translation of the family motto “Luceo Non Uro”:

“I shine, but I do not burn” (also “I shine, not burn”).

In fact LUCEO is “I shine”, while NON URO is “but I do not burn”.

The sense of this motto is that this family brings light(light of knowledge or magnanimity, e.g.), not extreme  heat or fire, which is still worse.

Best regards,
Maria
