Question
Maria,

Can you please give me the Latin translations for both of the following?

"Love conquers all."
"The course of true love never did run smooth."

Thank you so much for your time!
Laura

Answer
Hello Laura,

Here are the translations you asked me.

-"Love conquers all"
“Amor omnia vincit”, according to the Roman poet Virgil (70-19 BC), Eclogues, X, line 69.

Nota Bene:
Love= AMOR
Conquers= VINCIT
All= OMNIA

-"The course of true love never did run smooth”
“Numquam facilis fuit verus amor”

NB.
The course of true love= VERUS AMOR
Never=NUMQUAM
Did run smooth= FACILIS FUIT

Best regards
Maria
