Question
Please provide me with the Latin translation of the following phrases:

Christ peace. Be not afraid.

I am uncertain on the reliabilty of my own translation.

Thank you very much.
Alex

Answer
Hello Alex,

“Christ peace. Be not afraid” is in Latin:

-“Pax Christi. Noli timere” , if the sentence is addressed to a 2nd.person singular.

-“Pax Christi. Nolite timere”, if the sentence is addressed to a 2nd.person plural.

In fact, in Latin the imperative (Noli-Nolite) changes if we refer to a 2nd.person singular or a 2nd.person plural.

Best regards
Maria
