QuestionHi Maria,
Would you be able to translate the following for me please -
'To the last breath' - as in, to continue with something until it's no longer possible.
Your help is greatly appreciated
Thanks!
Rich
AnswerHello,
I suppose you want the Latin translation of “To the last breath” in the sense you say.
So, here it is:
-“Usque ad extremum spiritum”
Or:
-“Usque ad ultimum spiritum”
Best regards,
Maria

Note that:
-To= USQUE AD (preposition which takes the accusative case)
-the last= EXTREMUM / ULTIMUM ( accusative masculine agreed with SPIRITUM)
-breath = SPIRITUM (accusative of SPIRITUS, 4.declension)
