Question
Hi! I am a writer trying to find a suitable name for a character, preferably a name based on Latin, so can you please tell me how to say "wind" in Latin? If there is any other Latin word you think is suitable for a name, please tell me. Thank you!

Answer
Hello,

The English word “wind” corresponds to Latin noun “ventus” (nominative masculine, 2nd.declension) which however is not suitable for a name, indeed!

As for some Latin names, here they are:
Caius (masculine)
Flavius (masculine)
Iulius (masculine)
Antonius (masculine)
Marcus (masculine)
Marius (masculine)
Lucius (masculine)
Clodius(masculine)
Valentinianus (masculine)
Camillus(masculine)

Lavinia(feminine)
Cornelia (feminine)
Fulvia(feminine)
Silvia(feminine)
Lucretia(feminine)
Porcia(feminine)
Livia(feminine)
Clodia(feminine)
Camilla(feminine)
Agrippina(feminine)
Iulia(feminine)

Best regards,
Maria
