Can you please tell me what the ancient greek word for "Father" (of sons) is please?

Hello Louise,

The ancient Greek word for ‘father’ is “Patér” which is a nominative singular of a noun that belongs to the 3rd.declension.

In  ancient Greek in fact  there are three declensions and five cases.

Please note that “Patér” is written in Latin alphabet (Latin transliteration), since the system does not allow the use of the Greek characters.

Anyway, here are the Greek letters that compose ‘Patér’:

“Pi-alpha-tau-eta with the acute accent-rho”.
