Question
i was wondering if you new how to translate "mercy for none and vengeance for
all".  my friend and i both take latin but disagree so i thought i would ask an
expert

Answer
Hello,

I don’t know how you two translated  the phrase “Mercy for none and vengeance for all".
Anyway here’s the Latin way to say it:

“Nullius misericordia et ultio omnium”

Note that:
-mercy = MISERICORDIA (nominative case)
-for none = NULLIUS (genitive singular of NEMO /NULLUS)
-and = ET
-vengeance = ULTIO (nominative case)
-for  all = OMNIUM (genitive plural of OMNIS)

I must point out that the genitive NULLIUS as well as  OMNIUM are Genitive of the Object, i.e. a genitive which denotes a person or an object, that are the object of the action.

Best,
Maria
