QuestionI was wondering where to find an internet translator for Latin (I tried some other sites and have come up with no translations). If not, could you tell me what "reviresco" translates to? I have other names I would love to look up (which is why I would like to find something on line to refer back to). Thanks in advance!
AnswerHello,
The verb “reviresco” which is the present indicative, first person singular of the infinitive “revirescere”, can mean: “I grow green again”, “I grow strong again”, “ I grow young again”, “I flourish again”, “ I revive”, according to the context.
For example:
-“Woods grow green again” = “Silvae revirescunt”( present indicative, 3rd. person plural).
-“He grew young again” = Reviruit”(past indicative, 3rd.person singular)
-“His hopes revive” = “Spes eius revirescunt”( present indicative, 3rd. person plural).
As for an online translator for Latin, I have to point out that automated online translators are worthless, especially with inflected languages such as Latin and Greek, but also with other languages.
The only site I can suggest is a Glossary of Latin Words which could be helpful to you.
Here it is:

There is also an online English-Latin dictionary that however provides you with the word you are looking up, but only in the nominative case, while in Latin each noun must be inflected and each verb must be conjugated. Therefore this online English-Latin dictionary can be helpful to those who know Latin grammar and syntax, of course.
