Question
Hi N. Maria

Can you please translate "love is pain" into latin for me?

Thanks a million

Answer
Hi,

Here’s the translation of “ ove is pain”:

“Amor est etiam dolor”
or :
«Amor est etiam angor »

In fact AMOR means ‘love’, EST means ‘is’ and DOLOR /ANGOR  means ‘pain’.
As for the word  ETIAM, it is an adverb which  points out that love can be also  pain, anguish, either momentary or permanent.

Best,
Maria
