Ancient Languages/motto translation

Question
Hello, I am trying to get a proper latin translation for the Search and Rescue motto "So Others May Live"

Answer
Hello,

A proper Latin translation of “So Others May Live" as a Search and Rescue motto cannot be literal since in Latin a literal translation could sound quite strange.

So a proper and correct Latin motto would be the following:

“Ad alios servandos” .

This Latin sentence in fact  means literally “In order to save others“, i.e. “We do everything we can do to save others”.

Best regards,
Maria
