Ancient Languages/"so be it"

Question
Hi Maria
Something that has been bugging me for a while and none of my learned friends have been able to enlighten me. Do you happen to know the Latin phrase for the English equivalent to "So be it" [not exact translation but more the meaning]?
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Siew,

the Latin phrase for the English  "So be it" is literally :

“Ita sit”.

In fact, ‘So' is ITA and ‘ be it' is SIT.

I must however point out that in Christian worship as a concluding formula for prayers and hymns the Church has adopted a biblical Hebrew word, AMEN, meaning exactly “So be it”.

Have a nice day.
