Question
Dear Dr Levy,
Thank you so much for giving your time to answer questions. I am 30 weeks pregnant and take fluoxetine(prozac)20mg daily. I wish to have an epidural during labour. Can you please tell me if there are any known problems with obstetric epidurals and prozac. Thank you.

There is no problem to have an epidural while on Prozac. More important is the potential risk of Prozac in pregnancy so make sure your obstetrician knows and approves of you taking the drug.
