Question
I am 23 years old. I served four years in the military and now I am very interested in becoming an anesthesiologist. I am wondering if it is too late for me to start? I am taking classes at a local college (Pierce College in Washington state) and I plan on transffering to the University of Washington and then going from there. Is this a good idea or not? Thanks for your time.

Answer
You are not too old at all. Many people take time off between college and med school so you are right at the average age. I am not familiar with Pierce college but if your credits transfer, that will help you.

Good Luck,
