Question
my daughter is alergic to local anasetic she is pregnant and might have to have a section and they dont no if shes alergic to a general till they give her it she cant have any type of local even cream what should she do

Answer
Hi Laurie
She needs to meet with the anaesthetic team who will be responsible for looking after her so they can assess her and attempt to find out the extent of her allergy.
The drugs used for a general anaesthetic are totally different and so you should not worry about them at present.
