Question
I had two rounds of steroid injects in my lumbar region back in Mid April.  These were done back to back, 1 week apart.  Since then I missed my monthly cycle in April and have since started, but can't stop.  I have had it now for 4 weeks.  I am also experiencing weight gain, water retention and increased moodiness/irritation/depression.  Could this be caused from having these injections so closely together?  Should I be concerned and check with my GYN or PCP?

Answer
This is not due to the steroid injections and if you have had continued bleeding for 4 weeks, you should definitely see your GYN doctor ASAP. You don't mention your age or any history of fibroids, etc. There are several things which can cause your symptoms (none of which are related to the lumbar injections).
