| Comment | Thank you Dr. Levy. My upper/lower gi was to be today..... but the GI doctor himself was to be giving the anesthesia. I wasn't comfortable, giving what I've read already. He called my pharmacy to see if the drugs he had planned for me interacted. Guess what the cocktail included? Demerol and Lidocaine. Thank you for your quick response, or I would've been prepped and there this morning...... and, just maybe..... dead. The GI doctor couldn't get an anesthesia consult in time for my procedure today. The procedure will have to be scheduled in the OR so that anesthesia review my med before using random anesthesia. What concerns me most...... what if I wasn't a nurse practitioner, who knew {was comfortable enough} to push the complacency? "Oh, it's just conscious sedation"....? | ||
