Question
Hello.
I am having an operation tomorow morning at 0700 hrs.
Unfortunatly i have a major vomit phobia which i am getting consilling for.
The phobia is anyone around me, or me feeling/being sick.
I have heard stories about people who after have had general anathetic have vomited, eiher once or many times, i just wnt to find out the effects anasthtic may have on me, if im sick it is not forseeable what i could do to myself (suicide?)

Explain all this to your anaesthetist and they will try very hard to ensure that you have no problems. Sickness after anaesthesia is much less of a problem these days as we ahve far more medications to help.
No one can give you a cast iron guarantee but we can make it so that it is very,very, very unlikley to be a problem.
