Question
I have heard that anesthesiology is one of the highest paying careers today. I would like a high paying job in the future! I am very intelligent and totally up for it, but I was wondering if you think it is worth the exposure to diseases, long hours, and risk of making a mistake and getting sued? Do you think this is a good job to pursue or do you have any more suggestions?

Answer
If your interest is just making money, then medicine is not for you. There are many other professions that pay more with less risk. People go into medicine for altruistic reasons and money is secondary.
