You must be getting tird of my questions, surgery for BPH laser PVP scheduled for this wed adn you have been the only surce of info; so let me ask one more uestion....if you don't answer, fine, you have alredy been a TREMENDOUS help.  I can't do the inhalation general and they waffled about TIVA with fentanyl and propofol....my doc says that I can probably get by with oral meds; said to take 2 percoct (gave me an rx for 100-obviously a mistake) and for triazolam .25mg to take 1/2 hr before.........she sys it's going to be fairly brutl, but safer than anesthesia...any comments?????????///thanks

I don't understand what you mean by "cant't do general anesthesia". Why not? how about Spinal? You may be more stoic than I but I can tell you I would not want to have prostate surgery on just 2 Percocet! What does she mean by "safer than anesthesia". She is not an anesthesiologist so she doesn't know what safe is! Talk to the anesthesiologist.
