Anesthesiology/Symptoms of Dialysis

Question
My grandfather just went through the Dialysis surgery and one day after the procedure his tongue began swelling. Is this a normal symptom that every client will go through??

Answer
Hi Krystal
Thanks for the extra information. No this is not something that everyone on dialysis will go through. He needs to chat to his renal physician about what happened. It is possible that this was just a one off experience and won't happen again, however it is possible that he has had a mild reaction to something in the fluid used in the dialysis - I'm sure that they will be able to sort it out for him.
Kind regards
