Question
My boyfriend is scheduled to have a vascectomy on Friday and he has been feeling under the weather the last few days, maybe a sinus infection.  It took him awhile to get this appointment and he hates to reschedule but want to know if it is safe to have surgery and anesthesia when you may have or have had a recent sinus infection.  Thank you.

Answer
It is not a problem from an anesthetic point of view as we would likely be doing a spinal anesthetic. It might be a problem from the surgical side so I would suggest contacting them with this question.
