Approximately how many anesthesia residency slots are there per year? Also are there programs that don't fill all their slots each year?
I don't know the exact number but you can get that information from the ACGME (www.ACGME.org). Currently in anesthesia, most programs fill although I am sure that there are one or two slots that go unfilled each year.
