Anesthesiology/Versed/amnesia

Question
Could you please point me to some scientific articles, data texts, studies etc. about Versed and its causing amnesia and a dreamlike state?  I am particularly interested in refuting claims about it causing these effects.

Thank you.

Answer
I can't point you to articles refuting the claim because it does cause these effects. One of the nice features of Versed is that it is an anxiolytic and an amnestic. As for a dreamlike state, I don't know if you can call it that, but patients are very relaxed and don't remember much of the surgery so I guess you could call that dream-like.
