Question
After the four years of college and taking those pre-med courses, when/if I get accepted to a medical school, is there a specific path to take to become an MD that specializes in Anesthesiology? And what types of classes do you take in Medical school to become an MD?

Answer
Hi there
In the UK we have to complete our Medical School Training - taking all courses provided there are no special selections we need to make.
We then have to complete 2 years Foundation Doctor Training and can then apply to a run through training programmme for anaesthesia which takes another 6 - 8 years.
However from your question I suspect you are in the States where things are different - I have no experience of working there.
Kind regards
Dr Ian Jackson
