Well, I would like to know what courses I should take in high school? Also what courses and education is requried to be an anestiologist. How many years of schooling and residency did you have to have?

From you spelling I guess you are in the USA. I'm UK based and could tell you abpout what we can do but it would not be the same as the states. Please look at the past answers of my American colleague Dr Levy as this is a common question. I am a Consultant Anaesthetist in the UK. My interests include ambulatory or day surgery, obstetric anaesthesia and analgesia, acute pain management (use of epidurals and patient controlled analgesia)anaesthesia for surgery on the airway, orthopaedics and most things except brains and hearts. Interest in prehospital care of trauma and provision of medical cover at motorsport events.
