Question
Hi,
I am a freshman in high school and I don't even really know what I want to do, and I'm not pressured at all yet but I have just been learning a bit about Anesthesiology, it seems really interesting. I only have 2 questions.
1) What courses in University/High school are needed and what degrees are needed to enter Anesthesiology?
2) How do you pronounce Anesthesiology? Thanks for reading,

Erin

Answer
You need mostly science and math classes like organic and inorgani chemistry, physics, calculus and biology. You need a bachelors degree from college and a medical degree from a medical school. As for pronunciation, the formal pronunciation is "ān'ĭs-thē'zē-ŏl'ə-jē" but an easier version would sound like "an-uhs-thee-zee-ol-uh-jee".
