Question
I am 22 and just starting my first year of college at Lamar State College Orange. What are my chances of getting into a good medical school? Which school would you recommend? I want to be an anesthesiologist and I know I can do the school work but I wonder if med school will look down on my 4 years of Lamar education since it's a state college...

Answer
Being a state college is not a problem as long as it is an accredited 4 yr program. While it is true that some medical schools may give it less weight than a Harvard, it still allows you to attend the school and apply for medical school. Just make sure your grades are top of the line.
