Anesthesiology/Schooling

Question
I'm a junior in high school and want very much to become an Anesthesiologist. Our Allied Health program helps us prepare for medical careers, but it also makes us really look at colleges, majors, medical school, and everything that goes along. My problem is picking a major. I don't think the majors will matter very much when we do finally get into mead school, but I would still like to be prepared as much as I can. There's a lot to sift through and I was wondering if you could tell me some of the best majors to look into that will help me later on.
Thank you :)

Answer
In college you can major in anything you want. You will need to take the prerequisite courses for medical school and while most physicians major in one of the sciences, it is not required.
