Anesthesiology/Majors

Question
I understand that when you want to become an anesthesiologist, you go to college 4 years, med. school for 4 years, and 4 years residency...but it would be a better idea not to major in pre med in college, if possible. In my case, the school I want to go to does not offer this. But if I major in pre. veterinary studies and it takes 4 years, when do I take pre. med before med. school?

Answer
There is no such thing as a "pre-med" major. To be pre-med means that you need to take certain courses prior to application to med school and you can do that from any major. I am sure most of the requirements for pre-vet and pre-med are the same so you shouldn't have a problem.
