Anesthesiology/dizziness after spinal anesthesia

Question
three days after spinal anesthesia I developed lethargy, severe dizziness, brain fog, couldn't focus my eyes, tinnitus and for 3 weeks severe insomnia.

One year after I still can't take care of my baby, the symptoms remained.  Could it be possible I am suffering from a CSF leak although I never experienced a headache or could it be a toxic reaction to bupivicaine an morphine used for the spinal anesthesia?

Answer
Diana
The story you give of what happened after your spinal does sound like a problem linked to CSF leak. This is usually self limiting and it heals up by about 7-10 days.
If you are still having the same problems one year later then it might be that you have a chronic leak for some reason or it might be something else entirely. However if you are still having issues it is worth seeing a specialist for further advice.
