Question
I am a 38yr old female, basically good health, who is interested in getting a much needed breast reduction. I am very nervous and scared about going under anesthesia though. Is there anything I should do to check my health before I decide to have this surgery?

Answer
If you have no major medical problems (Diabetes, hypertension, heart disease), then don't worry. The risks from anesthesia are extremely small. In either case, you will be seen by an anesthesiologist prior to surgery and he will decided if you need further workup.
