Question
My son was born in dec 07.  I had an epidual.  When it was place it causes serve pain.  I was in so much pain I could not breath.  They moved the needle and the pain when down.  Ever since having my son my lower back feels like pins sticking in it.  It is like I have someone following me around and sticking me with pins all day.  I also and having a very hard time empting my bladder, my legs fall asleep with in 30 seconds of holding them still.  Some days the pain is a lot wrost than other but it never goes away.  I have been to 3 drs no one seems to know what is wrong with me.  Where should I go from here?

Answer
Hi there
This is very difficult to answer - the fact you have been to three doctors and still have no diagnosis means this cannot be easy. You do not mention if you have seen a specialist e.g. neurologist or have had any specific tests.
Difficulty emptying your bladder can happen after childbirth but the combination of symptoms you describe are unusual. If you haven't seen a neurologist then I would recommend being reviewed by one. If you have and they have not been able to help then I am sorry there is little I can add.
I am really sorry I cannot help at this distance.
Kind regards
