Question
My diagnosis is severe pelvic floor spasms with only physical therapy recommended.  It is dibilitating as I cannot work because of pain, cannot sit, it hurts to wear clothes.  My question is: do you think a nerve block could help block the pain?  thank you for any adivce you can offer.

Answer
Hi there
This is completely outside my area of expertise. However from my knowledge of pain syndromes it is unlikley that this would help.
I suspect that a specialist might be able to offer some therapy eg the use of botulinum toxin to paralyse the affected muscles. However that's a guess on my part but would seem a logical possibility.
Kind regards
