Question
I had twilight when I had both of my children back in the 1960's. Evidently this is nothing like the twilight my husband had during surgery recently. When the surgeon told him he wouldn't care what was happening, it sounded like the same thing.

Answer
They are very similar but the drugs we use today are a little better. In the 60's they basically loaded you up on pain killers and Valium. Nowadays we use a short acting narcotic and an anxiolytic that makes you sleepy and gives you amnesia for the event.
