Anesthesiology/Dantrolene Sodium

Question
Do outpatient surgery centers have to carry the drug Dantrolene Sodium in case something goes wrong with the anesthesia.

Answer
The short answer is 'YES'.  However, the statutes of various states, districts, provinces, etc around the world undoubtedly vary--so what is required by law and what should be happening as a result of responsible people acting responsibly are likely two different things:  it is not possible to legislate responsibility.

Of course, if a surgery center was not utilizing any drugs/anesthetics that were known MH triggers, then the matter would be moot, and the answer would be 'NO'.
