Anesthesiology/tongue numb!

Question
Two weeks ago I had a replacement on a filling. However the injection still has not worn off. My tongue is half numb and pins and needles at the tip!
My speech is slightly affected and Im worried it will never get better! I can not eat and therefore taste on one side of my mouth.

Has the dentist any repsonsiblity in this matter at all?

Please advise, thank you!

Answer
Hi there
I would chat to your dentist about this. It is possible the injection went into the nerve rather than around it and so has disrupted how the nerve works. If this is the case then it should resolve over a period of time (measured in weeks to months).
Otherwise I am a bit uncertain how to explain your problem which is a bit out of my area of expertise.
Kind regards
