Anesthesiology/Epidural Steroids for back pain

Question
I had a bad bout with back pain from a previously herniated disc (crawling around for a few days) and received an epidural steroid injection so I could walk again.  I just received another one 12/30/09 for follow up to try and completely calm it down.  My question is, can epidural steroids affect menstrual cycle?  Ever since my back went out in November, the last 3 cycles have been odd in their timing (varying 23-29 days) and have been very light (lasting at most 5 days).  This is highly unusual for me, mine is normally like clockwork, 28 days with it lasting 7 days.  I am only 31.  It is slightly concerning.  Should I have this checked out?

The most likely drug that was used is called depomedrone (at least it is in the UK). There is no doubt that it can cause menstrual disturbance though I have not heard of this from epidural injections before. However this is not my area of expertise and I certainly haven't asked patients if they have had problems following these injections - so it may be commoner than I know.
Basically I would watch your periods and see if they fall back into sync (assuming you are having no more epidurals). If you are worried, they don't return to normal or if you get any other signs/symptoms e.g. abdominal discomfort, excessive bloating, bleeding mid cycle then go and ask for advice.

Hope this helps
