Anesthesiology/Anesthesiology Requirements

Question
Hi! I'm thinking about becoming an anesthesiologist when I grow up so I have a couple of questions. I'm in grade 10 and next year we get to pick a science class that we want to take (Biology, Physics, Chemistry). I'm thinking about taking all three but are all those required or is having only one ok? If so which one? And what other courses do I have to take? Also, what undergraduate program do you have to take in University to get into med school for anesthesiology? Also, once you become an anesthesiologist, how many hours a week do you work? Is it a set schedule or is it different every day? Also how many hours of free time do you have when you're not working? I know that anesthesiologists make a lot of money, but people shouldnt go into that field just for the money so do you consider your career enjoyable or fun? I think that's all for now :)

Answer
You have two years left in HS so split up the courses. It is a heavy load to take all three in one year. You should also take Calculus (either in HS or college). As for other courses in college, you need Organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, biology, and english. It's a little early to worry about hours and free time as that may change in the 14 years before you get there. I do enjoy what I do.
