Anesthesiology/What type of anesthesia did I receive for my foot surgery?

Question
Hello!  During May of 2009, I received foot surgery on my right foot to remove a medium-large sized bone spur.  I remember that there was an anesthesiologist present but I don't remember much else besides that.  I remember before the procedure ever happened, my podiatrist told me that he was going to give me a type of anesthesia/sedative where I would fall asleep but that it would not be general anesthesia.  There were no breathing tubes involved.  I think I remember being put on an IV but I am not certain of that.  Do you have any idea what type of anesthesia/sedative may have been used?

Answer
There is no need for conjecture on my part here---call the hospital or surgery center where you had your operation, request the anesthesia record section of the medical record from that admission and read for yourself EXACTLY what you were administered.
