Anesthesiology/Stuttering

Question
On May 15 2010 my two and a half year old daughter had surgery for trigger thumb. A few days later she started stuttering and it seems to be getting worse,up until now she was talking great. Why would this happen.

Answer
I can't explain that although I strongly doubt it is due to the anesthetic. Certainly it should be evaluated by her pediatrician as soon as possible to make sure there is nothing organic causing the problem. Hopefully it is a transient event but something that should not be ignored.
